Eczema Skin Treatment
Eczema is a common allergic condition primarily in children but also occurring in adults usually in a more severe form. Eczema is characterised by itchy, dry, rough, flakey, inflamed and irritated skin. It can flare up, subside and then flare up again.
Eczema breaks down the skins natural barrier which in turn makes it more defenceless against allergens and invading bacteria. Dry skin especially due to colder climates also exacerbates the condition further.
Once again, diet is a contributary factor in eczema. ‘Good fats’ found in a number of foods are fundamental in providing essential nutrients that will support weakened skin cells. Potential food intolerances can also be the cause of skin inflammation as can dust/spore allergies, hayfever and animals.
